Welcome to The Northeast Regional Angel Investor Conference Website
This conference, the eighth organized by the New England Angel Investment Groups, returns to its origins in Portsmouth, NH, for the first time in two years.
This conference is targeted toward individuals and groups interested in providing seed, early-stage, and expansion capital to entrepreneurial ventures. Attendees will include members of organized angel groups, individual angels, prospective angels, and early-stage investment firms, joined by a few selected bankers, academics, accountants, lawyers, and public officials.
The goals of the conference are as follows:
- To increase the amount of seed capital available in our region
- To showcase six of our angel funded companies
- To encourage more investments by individual angels
- To promote the establishment and growth of organized angel groups
- To turn "latent angels" into investors
- To encourage cooperation between groups and individuals
- To promote the "angel" message to wider audience
- To demonstrate our commitment to building a strong regional economy
COOPERATING GROUPS: Angel Healthcare Investors, Angel Investor Forum, Bay Angels, Beacon Angels, Boston Harbor Angels, Breakfast Club, Cherrystone Angels, Common Angels, Connecticut Angel Guild, eCoast Angels, First Run Angels, Golden Seeds, Granite State Angels, Hub Angels, Investors Circle, Launchpad, Maine Angels, Monadnock Angels, Northeast Angels, River Valley Investors, North Country Angels, Walnut Group.
OUR THEME: EAST MEETS WEST. Like most private equity, many US Angel Investment Groups are located on the East and West Coast. Except for Angel Group leaders who meet at the annual conference of the Angel Capital Association, there is little opportunity for sharing experience between members of these groups. For the very first time, we are inviting some of the best known and most successful angels from the West to speak to us here in New England. We'll also have a number of the region's top angel-backed companies presenting investment opportunities. Time will be available to network with peers from other groups.
